Child/teen accounts online

My kids are 14 and 16 and they could really do with 'properly bank accounts, obviously they are not on the electoral roll though. Is there any such thing as an online account for people this age?
I know my 16yr old can get a Monzo but I'd rather something that is more traditional and will make it easier for him to get an overdraft and start his credit history in a couple of years. Im aware this might not be possible at all but I figure if anyone knows its you lot!

I should add that you don't need an overdraft to build a credit history. Overdrafts are just about the most expensive way of borrowing money, and I wouldn't encourage my kids to aim to get them.1 -
My teens both have a Barclays account which they manage through the phone app. They use the debit cards to buy their train tickets and the odd small purchase online and I can transfer money into it anywhere and anytime.

Most high street banks have youth accounts which would be suitable for them.0

My 15 y.o. has had a Nationwide FlexOne account for a couple of years which we set up in-branch - for the experience - but which he manages online. He has a debit card with that which has been handy this year when most shops prefer to avoid cash-handling.
I pay his pocket money into the account and most of that is transferred to a linked Regular Saver account by monthly direct debit. That way, there is usually little in the current account should he lose his card and someone use its contactless payment facility; he can quickly transfer money back to his current account via the Android app on his phone if he wants to make a bigger purchase.
That set-up has encouraged DS to manage his accounts and I have been pleased to see him develop a savings habit rather than a spending habit.
The interest rates have plummeted since set-up unfortunately, so he'll be encouraged to save money from his current account into his Premium Bonds account when he takes ownership of that at 16. Although the PB online facility won't allow for instant withdrawal, the transfer back to a current account only takes a few days.
