Hi i've received a windscreen fine from UKPC. Do I have to pay? Can they get my address from DVLA? The fine was for not being parked in bay correctly as I was over the white lines. Must admit didn't realise you could be fined for this, but don't think was my fault as there was a car next to me parked the same, but that had gone when i came back to car and I was being issued with a fine

Hi i've received a windscreen fine from UKPC.No you haven't. Private firms cannot issue fines. What you've received is an invoice.Do I have to pay?Only if a Judge tells you to.Can they get my address from DVLA?Absolutely. Perfectly lawful. But you need to circumvent this by following the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, first post, and appeal on day 25/26.Must admit didn't realise you could be fined for this,You can't be 'fined', but you've been invoiced. You need to deal with it. Follow the NEWBIES FAQ sticky. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Come on, wise up, they are fishing for the driver before they give up and cancel it.
