Ive made a complaint about some furniture i bought from a seller onlinen sale...Seller refused to give me a refund as the item was made to spec.
Seller offered to give me a matching piece that will match the furtniture once made. But they took 9 months to deliver it. Blamed it on covid. But ive been waiting since december 2019.
The item has come back and it doesnt match the furntiture ive gor . Measurements are all wrong.
Ive wrote them a letter explaining i want a full refund within 14 days to avoid further action.
They havent responded to 2 of my letters now.
Whats my next step please?

Trading standards won't be interested at all. If you want something, it's up to you to get it.If you've sent the letter before action, then the next step is the small claims procedure at the county court. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
How much does that cost ? And what about if I loose the case ?0

What exactly was wrong with the initial piece of furniture?Misteek said:How much does that cost ? And what about if I loose the case ?
When you ordered it, did you supply specific measurements, or was it selected from drop down menus?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
If you lose, you have to pay their expenses. But a court is unlikely to award lawyers' fees to the other side.Misteek said:How much does that cost ? And what about if I loose the case ?

Well then, you need to decide whether you want to pursue it, otherwise your letter before action was just...a letter.Misteek said:It was more to scare them. Clearly they dont care0 -
