Will I be sanctioned?

I'd just like to know if I would be eligible for benefits if I quit my job during the trial period. I've paid a lot of money into the system and now I need some back. Also not hitting targets isnt the same as misconduct. Health over wealth always.0

"paying into the sytem" has nothing to do with it. As has already been said we can't tell you whether you wil be sanctioned or not, only a decision maker from DWP can decide on this.

OP, I would advise that you see your GP (if that is possible at the moment) and explain to them how you feel. They may well sign you off work, which may then result in the company letting you go.

Paying into the system and now you need some back - unfortunately it doesn’t work like this.djal said:I'd just like to know if I would be eligible for benefits if I quit my job during the trial period. Health over wealth always.I’ve known people quit jobs and been sanctioned and then I’ve known others that have done the same and they haven’t been sanctioned. No one can tell you an answer it’s up to a decision maker.
The decision is yours.1 -

Paying into the system does come into it as nja is a contribution based benefit.0 -
You can still be sanctioned regardless of the NI contributions you've paid.

I know that's why I made this thread to ask the question.poppy12345 said:You can still be sanctioned regardless of the NI contributions you've paid.
Thanks for your help everyone. I'm going to contact CAB and I will update you on what they say as a previous poster said if quitting during trial period there is no sanction. I will update the thread with their advice.
Seeing GP may also be an option, this year I've lost so much and it is now taking a toll.0 -
Have you looked at claiming SSP from your employer? https://www.gov.uk/statutory-sick-pay/eligibility
