Been away for a much needed few days break. Only managed to get hold of 2 coins. A plain one and a first world war Lord Kitchener one.

Makes £180 in my pot. £20 to go before my next bank run
Good to hear from you StokieBecks. Hope you had a nice few days away.
Always exciting when it comes to banking the coins. Some people find it hard to bank them. I don't when they are mostly plain.

I was watching a you tube video of a chap who orders in £200 of £2 coins - opens the bags up checks them against the ones he hasn't got and then deposits the plain ones back into the bank. I wonder how many people gave done this. Has anyone on this forum done this before?
Has anyone worked in a bank and seen this?

Seems a bit effortful but I met a lad on a Morrisons till who had spotted a bank bag of mint 50 pence Peter Rabbits, had a quick word with his boss & sorted Easter for his family Memorably. (I believe eBay was involved, but oh the fuss?)

7 more coins to pot but one of them doesn't have an inscription on the edge. Do you think it's a fake?

Either a fake or rare coin - you may wish to check to see if that type of coin had any misprints.

2 plain coins now proudly in a savings piggy bank. Son saw I was struggling & donated it to me as he “doesn’t like it’s expression” - it Does look a bit deranged (but a sharpie marker & it now looks poleaxed). Now to decant the sock!

    Hi DigforVictory,
Did you manage to have a count up when transferring the coins from your sock to piggy bank?
🌟 awarded to your son for donating his piggy bank to you.

Been away for a week's holiday and managed to spend mainly cash. Came home with 6 coins! 5 plain and 1 Shakespeare. Plus 2 already collected for August that makes £16 so far this month.
