Claim Form Received....... Need A Little Help!!

Hi All,
first time I’ve ever posted on a forum  but this seems like a good time to start. I have received a Claim form for an unpaid parking charge. Just wanna say I’ve been reading through all the information about fighting these flipping scams and have already followed the instructions to far. I have already submitted AoS so I have some time.
Problem is when I received my dodgy Parking charge I just ignored it and have done so for all the other rubbish they’ve sent through.
WILL THIS AFFECT MY DEFENCE IN THE COURTS?
as I’ve made no attempt to dispute the charge will they use this against me in some way?
I would appreciate any thoughts you have on this.
Thanks.

If you've read the NEWBIE you will know that you are successfully part way through the process and your next step is to write the defence.  If it is not ParkingEye, use the template defence which is one of the first five announcements on the front page of the forum.  Read the instructions carefully.  Submit a SAR to the DPO of the PPC to see what they are claiming is the reason for the claim.  If you give the date of issue of the claim form @KeithP will be along to give you a deadline for submitting your defence.  Make sure you use the e-mail address in the instructions and do not try to do it through MCOL.

They will probably trty, it is your job to ensure that they do not succeed.    If this is residential It should not matter, if it was deliberate bilking it might.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Cheers for the replies,

The driver parked in these spaces in the high street many times before, always out of hours for an hour or 2 to visit the pub. All of a sudden The driver receive a PCN And had no idea the car park was now being managed by a private firm.

Do not be telling internet forums who was driving or you might as well just pay up now !!

Get your posts edited , less is more

The driver parked on the dates

    The keeper received the paperwork

The keeper should have appealed to CEL and then to Popla , as keeper , which would have been an easy win

Blabbing on social media can cost you dear

Ignoring the NTK PCN wa foolish , not appealing was foolish too

But don't wait beyond your deadlines!

Also, did you miss this example of a case where a chap ignored his PCN at a badly-signed high street area? Didn't affect his case:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6223743/court-report-coastway-vets-predatory-ticketing-no-grace-period-ops-lose-at-brighton-court-again/p1

It really will not matter that you ignored what you thought was a scam. Have yiou not read enough CEL defence cases yet, and not discovered that their legal team is headed up by Wonga-man?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
