Manhole over extension

We’ve recently had an extension, and we needed to get a build over agreement from Thames water which covers the old manhole now under our kitchen!
TW gave us permission so we now have an access chamber on our patio.
My question relates to the old manhole now under our extension. What should you/need to do with this? Is it a case of sealing it? How?
To cut a long story short we think we’ve had rat issues recently, we had a drain survey done which showed a potential fault between the new and old drain. We asked our builders to come back and they took up the kitchen floor yesterday. No connection issue with that part of the drain but I’m not convinced they’ve covered the old manhole correctly!

That’s my thread, but thanks! My question now relates more to the manhole cover0

You shouldn't have a manhole inside the house now at all, because they're not allowed under the build over agreement. The builders should have taken it all out and replaced it with pipe when they put in the new one on the patio.
It's going to be a bit difficult now!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I was puzzling over what the builders expected to see when they 'took up the kitchen floor.'There should be nothing to see or inspect now, even if it was one of the bolt-down inspection covers originally.1

Your BOA agreement with TW covers the removal of the old and installation of the new manhole. TW are now not interested in the existing and the sealing of it would fall under BR’s so check the requirements with them.0
