Monzo - confirm tax residency email

Just received an email from 'monzo' asking me to 'confirm my tax residency' and a big blue button labelled 'confirm tax residency' in the middle of the email - press me.
Checked on the app and it is a genuine email from Monzo but why are they asking me to break the most important rule in online banking which is never click on a link in an email purporting to be from your bank....

Got the same email from Monzo - which is even more odd since I switched away from them a few months ago.
But yea, I agree. It ticks a lot of the boxes for things to look out for in a phishing scam...0 -
It’s an odd link as there’s a note below it saying it only works on a mobile phone.
I tried on an iPad with no Monzo app on it and the button doesn’t work.
