Just use Affect energy, standard tariff (near top of list).  Ignore all savings figures, just look at the total annual cost.

@Gerry1 The only ones I've found so far the gas is more, and electricty seems to be less and both have exit fees and both need one month advance payments!

That doesn't look like the CA or Which? site.

Generally the newer suppliers require one month up front.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

See Talldave's note to you about using any old provider as your existing one.
Ignore all projections and claims about savings, just compare the total annual costs.

On Citizens Advice site there's a filter button ('Refine your results') top left so you can select gas or electricity only.

I wasn't saying get a quote from Affect energy, I was saying use them as your current tariff to avoid the error message you were getting.

Total of those is £898. Your dual fuel quote was £1012. So separate suppliers saves you £114 a year.

@Talldave Point well made :) In fact the savings could be as high as £157.40 on my Avro renewal, which I "assume" will be the lower priced fixed option?  On that point, I have just asked Avro to tell me what tariff they will put me on at renewal (ball in their court :)
This brings me to the next issue about a 12 month contract or a longer term? I presume, demand is seasonal?

Top image Avro renewal (assummed TBC)
Next two the best savings on the top image from Cirtzens Advice website
Bottom three images electricity for 12 months, 15 months and 18 months
