Poultry indoors by 14th- Law

Options
I keep 4 hens.  UK has mandated all birds outside MUST be indoors to prevent Avian Flu.    Great!
So I have bought plastic sheeting to line a cupboard in the house for straw to go in- fixed in a light.       Seems the Chief Veterinary Officers of the UK have not taken this lighlty as we are locking the birds up- thankfully I only have four.
Feel dam terrible.

Anybody in the same position?   https://www.gov.scot/news/new-housing-measures-to-protect-poultry-and-captive-birds-against-avian-flu/

    From the quote

"Whether you keep just a few birds or thousands, from 14 December onwards you will be legally required to keep your birds indoors, or take appropriate steps to keep them separate from wild birds."

When you keep them outside do they have a night shelter ?     Does that not meet the "indoors" requirement ?

On my local news last night - several swans have died and some taken to a bird sanctuary infected other domestic hens before they died.

So far in the UK, they have culled 30,000 domestic birds.

They go into a coop- too small for living. Just go in to roost.     The local vet said I could buy a shed and use that- but cost and ned to be indoor in few days.
Just have to harbour them indoors- be like All Creatures Great and Small!  ha.
Yeah it'sif my flock get's it it could knock into a local chicken farm as no doubt the exclusion zone cover it as within 5 miles from me.

Near realised it was that high.  Getting text alerts to where cases are.  Voluntary registered my flock as under 50 hens few years back.
