Hi
Any ideas of how I can complain. I used a makeup matching website for a foundation and the website admitted they had in fact mislabeled the foundation colour. I now have a foundation 3 shades too dark for my skin bought from house of fraser online. Any ideas of how i can get my money back. This is doubtful i know

I would be interested to know how on earth anyone can match a skin tone online?
years ago we just used the back of our hand and hoped for the best!Be happy, it's the greatest wealth3 -
You input your current foundation brand and shade and it matches this shade with the appropriate shade in another brand's range. Hindsight obviously makes it a bad decision.2

If you ordered it online you have 14 days from receipt to return goods under the distance selling regulations, although I do not know if that applies to makeup due to hygiene reasons.2

Thank you i will try that approach.0

The website, is it the brands commercial website, or just a ‘fan site’
if it’s the brands website I’d be asking for them to cover the loss if HOF won’t refund (they probably won’t if opened but unopened they should) a fansite you won’t have any comeback.2 -
I think I know the website. They are US-based. As said by another poster you input as many different brands of foundation you have owned and know suit you. They then give you different brands shades that should match you. It can be very hit and miss and never take it as written in stone this shade will be the correct one. The shade results can be all over the place. They are meant as a guide and you go to the department store and try in real life.I have owned a particular brand yet the site has given me a shade totally different from the one I was given a sample of and then bought as it was the correct shade.2
