I'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you

Sd cards are physically bigger than micro sd.
Most Units use standard micro sd. Dont get a cheap one from China.  Get one from argos or currys

Very unlikely to need a specific card - although there may be a minimum speed/class specified in your documentation.

The difference between SD, MiniSD and MicroSD is simply size - you can get adaptors to use smaller in devices that require larger.

The difference between SD, SDHC and SDXC is capacity - SD is <2Gb, SDHC is 2-32Gb, SDXC is 32Gb-2Tb. Again, the documentation will state which the camera supports.

You must have deep pockets if you can afford to buy cards from either of those.  Many reputable on line suppliers selling for half the price of those shops.

    Hi,

If you read the instructions for your dash cam it'll no doubt tell you what type of card it requires. My guess is that it's a microSD card that you'll need as that's what's used in practically all dash cams.

Also, forget Argos and Currys, search on Amazon as they'll be cheaper. You'll also want a card specific for devices such as dash cams, something like this should be ideal.

Are you looking to buy this dash cam or already have it. If the former, I would avoid this and get something decent.
  • I already have it :'(

  • Whichever card you purchase ensure it is high endurance (the one in the earlier link is), they need to stand up to continueous writing.
