Buying searches from previous failed buyers

LA searches currently predicted to take 31 working days (in line with our experience re our sale) but that was without Christmas & New Year delays.

We're now buying a property in same LA, where vendor is being pressured by his vendor to complete quickly. We are proceeding with our sale, whatever happens.
In order to speed up our purchase, we are willing to buy searches & survey from previous buyers who pulled out 'because they found somewhere else'.
Local, Drainage, Environmental & Coal mining searches are dated end of August or end of September.

Are they sufficiently recent for our purposes?

your solicitor may not accept them, they can be changed before they get hold of them for example. But you can ask if they will accept

    Who could change the searches?
They would have been requested by the previous buyers' solicitor, received by them, and be sent by them to our solicitor.
Are you suggesting the solicitor would change them??

I think they are valid for 6 months, probably you need to make sure they are still valid when complete?

    Thanks
Solicitor's secretary sent the email this morning & I asked for confirmation they were valid. No reply, so thought I'd try here.

Tried to do that myself and was informed that it was six months. The previous solicitor was asking £420 and my solicitor sent off for her own and at a cost of £140. Crazy world!
