    Thank you both for your helpful responses. I'm glad I asked. I think I'll keep using it for the subscription and paying it off by DD as suggested. And maybe look into opening one which offers rewards for spending. Thanks again. 
    Perhaps look at having one card on the Visa network and one using Mastercard, in case one system is down. Also, if you travel overseas, you may find one is accepted at certain establishments but not the other. Also compare different providers for card fees and conversion rates for overseas purchases.

    Use reputable sites and your credit card wherever possible. Don't share your card details with others.
