COMPACT SOFA advice needed

Hi

Our living room is 3.5 metre x 5 metre in size with an old style fireplace(not working).It opens out into conservatory via french doors.No windows.

The sofa recliners we currently have (3 seater and 2 seater) are deep brown in colour and bulky as they normally are,but makes the room look even smaller and darker.

But looking at sofas on sale most of them appears equally bulky.We are looking for compact 3 + 2 seaters possibly with reduced depth.

Any recommendations?

They need not be recliners.

So many variables? How big are your current sofas? Are they leather? Do you want leather or fabric replacements? Do you prefer traditional styles or modern? A lighter colour might look less bulky, but not always practical if you have children, dogs or eat on you laps!
