Solicitor amended forms?

Hi,
so I’ve just gone through a transfer of a property, I’ve just found out the other parties solicitor has amended the TR1 form which I signed and added sections without my consent and submitted this to land registry. To me this really doesn’t seem legal as effectively the form they have submitted to land registry is not the form I have signed.
csn anyone give any guidance on this as not really sure what to do. I’ve emailed land registry to see what they say.

Ask your solicitor? They should be able to advise on your next step.0

What are the changes?1

These changes were not agreed in advance? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Are they material changes? Presumably, to the free text boxes...

I don’t have a solicitor as the one I used only witnessed the forms.GDB2222 said:These changes were not agreed in advance?
No changes were agreed in advance, her solicitor asked for my consent however I did not provide them with this
Yep changes to a section on panel 8 a paragraph was added . I want to achieve the transfer being reversed as ultimately I changed my mind post signing it all and by then it was too late.AdrianC said:

What do you want to achieve?I have copies of the original form and the amended one and it’s quite clear that it was amended because the hand writing is exactly the same inch for inch and letter for letter.0 -
Doubt that's going to happen. What was actually changed?paulr23 said:JoeCrystal said:Ask your solicitor? They should be able to advise on your next step.

Section 8 is about consideration. What you are saying is that that has now been completed to reflect accurately no doubt what happened. As a matter of fact you presumably did receive consideration for the transfer, and you are under a duty to effect the transfer in the land register. If necessary, the transferee can bring a court case, and the court will sign the form on your behalf. So, all you may achieve is possibly some ticking off for the solicitor, who probably acted in good faith to record the transaction between you and the transferee. She may also have thought that you implicitly gave your consent. I assume also that you signed the form before the consideration was handed over, so it must have been anticipated by you that this would be filled in later.
In short, you are on a hiding to nothing. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I signed a form, it got amended without my consent, and sent to land registry. To me it doesn’t seem right, I had no idea it would be changed after because why would it need to be.GDB2222 said:Section 8 is about consideration. You 'changed your mind'? So you are looking for a justification to reverse the transfer and pullout?Obviously without 'the back story' we are limited in what we can advise, more so without knowing what change was made to box 8.0
