While we are talking cheese recipes, any ideas what to do with a huge amount of possibly the strongest goats cheese ever made? Too strong to eat, don't want to throw it away. Thanks.

Daily walk yesterday to Wilko (Wilkinsons) and got some veg seeds. 4 packets for £3.25. Their own brand are very reasonable starting at 50p upwards depending on what it is. Their on-line selection is mainly £1 or over so worth popping in store if you live near one. Now all I need is the rain to stop and can have a look at what pots I've got as bit of a random selection and see if I can manage to arrange an Olio pick up for the pots I saw earlier in the week which still seem to be there.
Just enjoyed a portion of slow cooker stew made with veg from the L*dl box, rest cooling off to go in the freezer. Think this is going to be my most frugal January ever, like most people I'm not spending much due to Lockdown.9 -

With our various Christmas cheeses we made a big cheese sauce and baked loads of veg in it, mainly cabbage, topped with breadcrumbs . Called it vegetable gratin, it froze well and did us quite a few side dishes.
Thanks for all the bird tips. We don’t have leftover mash either but I will try boiling up any skins and adding them to the table and will be more adventurous (and frugal) with what I give them now. Whenever I’ve put out leftover cake for example, I must admit the do seem happier than with seeds and fat balls.
today they have some cheese rind, some stale seed crackers and a bit of cooked rice. They haven’t been yet but it’s snowing heavily!I had to venture out to Aldi for milk earlier, got two fishcakes reduced to 40p so just had a lovely fish cake salad for brunch and was happy to see they had lambs liver in so got a pack of that for £1.12, it’s one of our faves.
I really enjoy the prolific surveys and have £12 now. What other surveys do people do please? Thanks to the poster who gave the Spanish OU details, I’ve signed up!Happy frugalling everyone x11 -
Had a look at my pelargonium cuttings and plants. Sadly I think I think I have lost them all. Several years ago I got rid of my greenhouse as at that time work had stepped up and for several years it didn’t get used. We also had the chance to level out parts of the garden so we revamped. I never get rid of stuff and am gutted that I could be making use of it. Last spring was a nightmare getting pots of beans, butternut squash, tomato plants in and out of the summerhouse until ready to put out. The greenhouse was second hand to me and it went free to an old neighbour but obviously now.... so I put my cuttings and mature plants inside one of those little plastic ones inside the summerhouse. It’s not heated but was hoping they might make it through. The last couple of years 2 pots of mature plants went through the the winters but not this one. ☹️ I also put a couple into my neighbours unseated greenhouse, haven’t looked in there yet I am hoping they have made it.
Mazzie you have just reminded me that my Marshall seed mag came through a before Christmas. Will need to order my seed potatoes soon. I dug up a couple of small veggie beds last year during last lockdown and in one bed I set Charlotte potatoes and they were beautiful. We only had room for 18 seed potatoes but had a brilliant yield off them. That’s the nice thing about gardening it does give you hope of better brighter days ahead.‘It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine’ - Winnie the Pooh11 -

Was decluttering a dress with iron marks into the rag bag but decided to turn it into a skirt so out the rag bag it came. My dress making skills leave alot to be desired, fingers crossed it will look ok.
