Just thought I would do a quick update about Too Good To Go.
A little while ago I put a post on asking if Morris*ns had disappeared from anyone else's app. I was passing yesterday so popped in and spoke to the Customer Service Desk. Apparently with national stores each one can opt 'in' or 'out' of the app and they have now opted out as due to higher customer numbers with restrictions lifting and the number of people looking for YS bargains they don't have enough food waste for Magic Bags but they can opt back in if needed. Mystery solved!.
Don't use the app much but noticed they are getting new sign ups including Spar convenience stores so it's worth having a browse occasionally.11 -
That's a shame but I have only ever had one box from them and as I eat no animal products I am quite likely to have to give a lot away, but I was lucky with just fruit and veg. with my one success. Our Local Morries is still listed, but I don't think they have more than one or two boxes and they sell out immediately.MazzieD said:Just thought I would do a quick update about Too Good To Go.

I am finding it hard to reconcile the media shots of empty shelves with the masses of Olio produce available and reduced food in stores. I went into my local small Lidl this morning and there were three crates of 20p reduced items, including raspberries, strawbs, tenderstem brocolli, club sandwiches, mushrooms and salads. I had requested a few things from a local Olio food hero and she had so much stuff she had filled a huge bag for me and there were masses of rolls and prepared salads available. I just took what I can use or process or it's just more waste. £2.20 bought me masses of food for myself and a friend in Lidl and I will be buying very little until next week now.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

We've not seen any issues locally. Although I know that there are problems, it does feel like the media is making it worse by sowing panic.Living_proof said:I am finding it hard to reconcile the media shots of empty shelves with the masses of Olio produce available and reduced food in stores. We’ve had disruptions to our delivery food, I’ve not been able to get half my usual things on Ocado Asda or Sainsbury’s. We ended up going to S to get a few things and the drinks, bread and chilled meats were all pretty empty. I grabbed a reduced loaf for the freezer but that’s all there was. So I’m guessing it’s regional. We’re overwhelmed by tourism most summers.Life happens, live it well.11

No local issues here in supermarkets (so far). Only thing I've noticed is levels of stock are a bit lower than usual in T*sco and L*dl, both have distribution centres on the outskirts of the City (The L*dl one is a massive regional distribution centre) not sure if that makes a difference with all the Lorry Driver problems!.10

I’ve cancelled my 3 free months of music. I hardly used it. I really do prefer radio.I cancelled audible too, just for 3 months. I’m getting a couple of ex batts so need to feed them! Lol.Just really hoping I can keep them safe from the foxes, I’ve got a different enclosure so they have to be let out but can still get to the ground. I’m rethinking the garden scheme!Car was serviced today, that’s gone on the cc for cash back. I’ve also paid off all the council tax.Life happens, live it well.9

my girls are very luck and get the bread waste from a guy who gets from co op at the end of the day for free , sometimes good for us humans too!!! saves me a fortune and the girls repay friends family and neighbours in eggs! win win!! we are down to 20 ex batts and 2 very elderly ducks! luckily never had a problem with foxes, maybe our 3 big dogs keep them away!! couldnt be without any of them, they are a joy. xxwillow_loulou said:I’ve cancelled my 3 free months of music. Willow Lou - well done on paying all the council tax so soon into the billing year. It's my mission to pay mine as soon as I can - I'm aiming to pay it off in 9 months instead of 10 but hopefully quicker. My bill is huge - £3,500 per year! I've paid 43% so far and tomorrow I'll have a look at finances to see how much extra I can pay this month.11
