Thank you for the welcome!
I picked up another Morrie's TGTG box this aft and in it was;
A tiger loafA seeded granary loafA sliced cheese topped loafA jalapeno and cheese loafA ciabatta bread2 packs of plain donuts2 packs of mixed berries2 bags of sweet potatoesSpring onions2 packs of gem lettuce2 packs of mixed saladTomatoes andFresh mintSo again, very happy with that, I'd recommend one to anyone. Most of the bread is in the freezer and I shared some stuff with my dad and sister. My question now is, do donuts freeze well? They're still really fresh and soft but without scoffing them all at once (which I don't want to do as I'm trying to shed a few pounds at the moment) I don't want them to go stale and be wasted.Never say never9 -
A google search brought up this:Can you freeze supermarket donuts?You can freeze doughnuts for around 2 months or so. It's simple to do so. Just wrap each in clingfilm then store in an airtight container.
The the answer is yes you can freeze doughnuts!9 -

I had a fruitful weekend, I got a new summer dress with labels, one without but looks new, a skirt and flip flops from Facebook. £10.50. The dress label said £30! Dd and I are popping to some charity shops in the week in the hopes she finds a chair and I find a jacket. Many of my clothes are tatty so it’s time for some new to me bits.I was given a bag of bits to go in the car boot sale. Hopefully they will sell. I’m only doing things for pennies really so will be glad to make a few more.I got another £7 on ziffit from gifted books, and I’m now up to £90 this year from prolific. I use that money for my tgtg bags and the Z money will go in the emergency fund.Life happens, live it well.15

Don't know what's going on with TGTG, my local Morris*ns and quite a lot of outlets that were on the app have disappeared. Anyone else got this?. The choice at the moment is Greg*s, Cost* Coffee and Caffe Ner*. and my nearest convenience store is 4.5 miles away (on the app that is, some nearer than that but just not on there).
Got a few indoor jobs done over the weekend, made my draught excluder out of an old wide trouser.leg and used the other leg and old socks etc to stuff it Just the right size for my front door and much needed as it's still really windy. However I was being stalked by a fluffy monster all weekend who jumped on my lap every time I sat down so didn't achieve as much as I'd hoped. Quite unusual, he spends most of his time asleep on the bed normally. Lucky cat!.
My mileage allowance arrived in my bank account this morning so I'll add to this month's budget. Bit unusual for me to spend that much on petrol but 2 trips in one month was unexpected. Thankfully no trips to Head Office this month and back on track with the budget. Being quite strict with what I can control. Heating was turned off 3 weeks ago so it's mainly electricity and hot water now. Still wearing jumpers and fleeces and winter PJ's though but have put my summer duvet on the bed in the hope that we might get some warmer weather. It's supposed to be 15 degrees today but the wind is making it much cooler.13 -
@MazzieD yes, I’ve not had anything other than M&S,W and greggs in the tgtg / the others are shown but have been at the exact same sold out time for ages. Gutted as I wanted a n@ro this week. I check intermittently throughout the day and it’s always the same.Life happens, live it well.7

Good afternoon, frugalers and welcome to our newcomers. I know you are all in safe hands in my absence so I hope you are settling in and enjoying the challenge so far. Apologies, once again, for my absenteeism, I just don't know where the time goes, I finish working at the project, come back to catch up with any paid work, social media etc, make dinner then fall asleep!
Still, while I'm not venturing far, I'm saving money.
Just completed my latest supermarket order as there was a delivery slot opened up for this week! Normally, I need t book 2 to 3 weeks in advance after watching for ages to try and get a slot so my luck must just have been in this week. It was in last week, too, as I had a £25 win on the premium bonds - it's gone straight back into more bonds and will stay there for the foreseeable future. On the grocery front - fewer and fewer stores' own basics available and the prices of many other things are still escalating. Tinned fruit was one thing I noticed, rice was another. Add to that the fact that many items are currently not available and it makes for a difficult job keeping the grocery budget on course. 0lio has been not too bad for us recently, mostly bread and bakery products but bananas are still on the go, as are the usual stir fry type veg, salad leaves and celery. I've been making sandwiches every day for lunch and am now using up some goat's milk that I got. Meal planning depends very much on what's available so we have been eating quite a few non-meat meals and I've been making a lot of soup to use up any veg.
Project-wise, I'm bagging up composted horse manure quite regularly now and sitting it out at the gate free to take away by anyone passing. This 'trading post' idea is one I have been trying to develop for a long time, especially now that our local LETS group seems to have died a death. Here's hoping the idea gets the chance to catch n now that Covid restrictions are lifting a bit.
Some of my seedlings are about ready for re-potting so I'm looking forward to starting a bit more gardening soon. Still not got a proper greenhouse but it's on the list.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

@MazzieD just looked on my tgtg app and same for me...nothing exciting to see in the discover area but when I clicked on the my Favourites icon there is gregg$ and other stores listed.
I have started turning heating off too and found another bill that I've halved it's only by £1pm on HP instant ink though! There used to be a free 10pages per month subs but now it's £1 but somehow I was back on the £1.99pm subs. I think it is still worth they charge for any extra pages over this. It also makes me think twice before hit print too. The price of ink online is expensive so £12 per year versus £30+ for two inks, it is still a good saving and they post a recycle bag too with new inks sent.
Had to get a MR.S. delivery spent about £45, they've added a new four hour slots option for £1 and green delivery an option (over £40 spend) instead of £4.50 delivery fee next day. Very grateful for this option as could buy a few more food bits. Everything has ran out at once: instant coffee (one bag of St*rbucks ground that DS3 bought luckily), only herbal tea bags left teaching me to make do with herbal teas sat around for over a year, also no bread, honestly reading about the Mr.M tgtg boxes sound like heaven!!
