Balance Transfer from Argos Card

Options
Hi All,
Wonder if anyone can help/shed some light. Is it anyway possible to do a balance transfer from an Argos Card to a credit card? Apparently the card number I have for Argos is too long and having a persistent debt letter cos of their stupid APR (never again!) I want to transfer to a 0% CC.
Thanks for any advice!

  • You'll need a money transfer option.

  • Thanks. How does that work? Is this the only way?
  • You transfer money from the card to your current account and then pay whoever you want. There's typically a 4% fee.

The other way is to get a 0% purchases card, put all your regular spend on it and use your freed up cash to pay the Aegis card.

If you can't get a money transfer card - that's definitely a decent way to do it. Just be careful to only spend your regular spend - and don't get tempted to spend  a bit more because you have the available credit. Not saying you would - but just keep it in the back of your mind - your aim is to get it all down to zero as quickly as you can manage it.
