oh_really said:I don't wish to cause undue alarm, I notified a condition online and received documentation around a week later informing me my license was to be suspended (pending my agreement or else into court), I agreed and returned my licence to DVLC, around a week later new licence received but with with entitlements removed. This all in last few weeks. Depending on job I can't help feel this blanket approach could have been catastrophic in terms of employment. I cover a lot of miles and my driving ability was not impaired yet the licence was revoked.0

The first time I had any dealings with the DVLA medical centre, I phoned them naively thinking I would be able to get some advice, and had my licence confiscated on the spot by a call centre operator who asked "what's a migraine".
The second time I did things differently. I just printed off the form from their website, filled it in, posted it, and a few weeks later I got a letter telling me I could keep my licence.
So, phone and you lose your licence whilst they spend months deciding, send a form and there's a good chance you might be able to keep it whilst they're making a decision.0 -

Got an update in the post today, explaining they need to speak to a consultant first.
