Takeaway cost £29.80 last night. We ordered from an independent restaurant, which always costs more than the chain ones but that wasn't a problem as it was budgeted for. I didn't pick the takeaway, my partner did, so I left it in his hands.
I did two exercise online classes this morning, followed by a shower and cleaning the bathroom and making a nice pancake brunch.
We also paid the next instalment off our new kitchen, so one less thing to worry about. Only two more instalments left to pay.
I’ve spent a grand total of £0 this weekend. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s not even been a month after Christmas or because we have been busy helping with funeral plans and birthday plans for the end of the month. I now have a wish list on the sticky note section on the phone and just add to it when I see something I like rather than buying it, adding to a wish list or adding to a basket.
Back to work tomorrow, funeral on Tuesday and click & collect food shopping on Friday and that’s all really. Nothing much else to do in a lockdown!

Well done on the no spend weekend Love the idea of having the wish list on sticky notes, is that on Iphone?
Hope the funeral goes as well as it can on Tuesday. Very difficult with the current restrictions, I had one 2 days before Xmas.

Thank you so much. I know it doesn't seem like much, going for 2 days without spending/meaningless spending but 2 days is better than nothing
Yes, it is on my iPhone. I will then go back to it every week and then if I no longer want any of the items of the list I just remove it from the note.
Thank you so much. In terms of the funeral, we've been told it's masks on at all time and no singing of hymns. You can recite the Lords Prayer if you wish. They aren't doing the 'traditional/normal' funeral cars, we're going in our own car, so we shouldn't really come into close contact with anyone.
Evening all not too much to report on here, managed to do a survey this morning so that is added to the pending list. I have £3.70 approved and waiting for £3.94 to be approved, I’ll then be able to cash out and add to the savings account.
We had to pop into the shops as our bread when mouldy - not ideal when your next planned breakfasts and lunches include half a loaf of bread. Naturally ended up picking up a few snack pieces. Spent £4.75 from my own card and then I sent the remaining 25p to the savings account - every little helps.
Had Greenthumb come out today to do our lawn. £17 from the joint account for this service. My partner forgot to mention they were coming so it wasn't added to the joint spreadsheet. This will just mean spending a bit less on the shopping, however, we worked out this week we brought one meal too many so we have one less dinner to buy next week.
I can now cash out on prolific so I will do that tomorrow.
I’ve managed to do three more surveys tonight so I now have £5.26 balance and £4.71 pending. One of the survey enters you into their prize draw which may result in a bonus payment, so fingers crossed.
We’ve also done the shopping for tomorrow. It was originally click and collect but I just checked and have managed to change it to a £1 saver slot. This will now save us having to the fill up the car with £10.
This came to £56.78 but I needed to buy sanitary products and shaving stuff, which is expensive in itself. I would usually go to one of the saver stores in town but that’s obviously not an option at the moment.
I think on toiletries alone it accounts for £8 of the shopping, We did also buy a Chinese mix box for £8 but it works out to us saving £10 if we ordered one from the takeaway (usual price for our Chinese takeaway is £18)
Everything is coming in the shopping so the price will remain as it was. I also managed to get a saver slot for next Friday as well.
My sister also sent me back the £30 so I'm going to put it into my own savings account for now and will decide what to do with it over the weekend.
I only need to get my partner a birthday card now but as I can't physically go to a card shop or want to go into a supermarket it will cost a bit more to get delivered. I might see if I can do a bulk buy of birthday cards so I may be able to save on delivery costs.
Managed to get two customised cards (one birthday and one Valentine's Day) for £7.54 including delivery. The delivery charge was only 54p! I have £22 left now. I made an overpayment of £30 to my card.
Not many plans today. Done two exercise classes, had a shower and made brunch. Now to sit and watch the football - my team play at 8pm so something to look forward too. I will also clean the bathroom and Hoover around the house as well.
We've also feed the birds and squirrels that come to the garden - the squirrel is still here on the feeder and has been for the past 30 minutes!
OK.. so very unsuccessful day of cleaning yesterday - I didn't do any of it! Made up for it today though so we've: pulled up the dead plants in the garden, cleaned the kitchen in full, cleaned the bathroom in full, did all the hoovering, did the dusting, did some washing and put it away and stripped and changed the main bedroom. Feels very productive and now I can sit and relax until dinner. More football and phone scrolling really.
I haven't spent any money this weekend either - I actually brought the two cards mentioned above on Friday. I wanted to spend on Friday when we had a bad dinner experience (the Chinese wasn't very nice unfortunately), but we did a mini buffet instead as our shopping came so managed to cobble some sense of food together. You can't beat some cheese and crackers!
