PayPal Payment by Credit Card Query

I hope someone can help me with my query. Basically if I have a credit balance on a credit card, can I link this card to my PayPal account to pay money to my friend via PayPal.
If this is this possible, are there any charges involved from the credit card company and PayPal?

Depends on whether your CC provider sees PayPal F&F payments as purchases or cash transactions - if the latter it will likely attract fees. 

A better option would be just to contact your provider and request a refund of your credit balance into your current account. Then transfer this directly to your friend. It will also avoid any fees PayPal may charge.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of a different solution in case the CC provider refused to transfer the money back to my current account without a fee and would treat the request as money transfer transaction with a fee charge.
