Little sachets of sun-cream to stop him getting sunburnt.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0

Er - what did I send?
HP Sauce
PG Tips
Smash (Tin of)
Tin of corned beef
(At least one meal in the desert!)
Loads of sweets, cakes, mince pies,
small wooden Xmas Tree
Brain Training book (and pen!)
QC magazine (was 1.3kg on its own!!)
A Merry Christmas Banner
A soft "toy" Turkey hat
and lots of other edible goodies.
Food always goes down well, and if they don't like it, they just swap it round.
Its not worth sending my Bro a phone card or the like - he only gets so many minutes per week (20) regardless of where/who he phones, so extra money for calls is a waste as he simply cannot get them in.
The GOOD news is that parcels up to 2kg are free for Christmas anyway, but the PO/MOD have now extended this until further notice. About time too! (To Telic, Herrick and operational support HMS ships)
I do worry about what to send. There is a lot of stuff you cannot send and it needs to be under 2kg. Needs to be useful, cheap (incase it gets lost) and they have to bring these things home with them too!0 -
A digital keyring with images of his favourite pub, car, friends etc- you could have the pictures taken and loaded in for him. They are selling for under £10 now, I saw a thread here on MSE the other day.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
Balance 19th April '07 = minus £27,640
Balance 1st November '09 = mortgage paid off with £1903 left over. Title deeds are now ours.0 -
