I think OCF should be the same on all platforms, it’s what the fund managers take which has nothing to do with platform. You sure you’re comparing exactly the same fund?mothemoneysaver said:Thanks for all your replies.
I've settled on theBMO Sustainable Universal MAP Balanced or Growth.
I was just wondering in terms of choosing a platform for these, HL charge 0.39% as an OCF rather than the 0.35% that ii charge. I think HL would still work out cheaper for lower investment amounts so the flat fee from ii is still more expensive, but is this normal for the same fund to have different OCFs on different platforms? No one has ever become poor by giving2 -
MyMap 5 ESG basically a 64/33 and 3 Gold at 0.17% OCF1

Thanks, yes it is the same fund - I wonder if interactive investor are offering it at a lower cost, as the official factsheet says 0.39% but they are offering 0.35%.thegentleway said:

Must be a typo/mistake then. Go with the fact sheet of 0.39%mothemoneysaver said:

Per the prospectus, the official OCF for the standard unbundled retail class C (250k minimum initial investment, 250k minimum additional investment, no initial charge) is 0.39%, and that class is listed on both ii and HL.mothemoneysaver said:

There is also a separate class 3 (£5m minimum initial investment, £1m minimum additional investment, 5% initial charge) with an OCF of 0.35%, which is listed on ii. I'm not a ii customer so couldn't tell you whether it is actually available for purchase because they have enough customer demand to warrant it - or is merely listed on their search tool but unavailable to buy - and whether the swingeing 5% initial charge shown in the cost illustration page for that class is actually charged in practice. For the latter, usually retail platforms and large institutions get this waived or absorbed by the manager, and is only in the paperwork so they have the right to charge it rather than actually intending to do so.1
