I need to return this by 23rd December so was planning to post it today however I forgot evidence of prescriptions so I am sorting this at lunch time. As I can no longer think straight these days I haven't really thought it through about sending so much personal info via the post. The return envelope doesn't even state private & confidential (I added this myself). Is it worth sending recorded? I had originally just planned on putting it in the post box but forgot all about proof of postage. Should I put my return address on the back? I am so worried about it getting lost in the post & even though I am 2 weeks from the deadline I worry I have left it too late given the time of year & Covid (I had to wait for printer ink to be delivered which is why I couldn't send sooner). Sorry I sound so dumb but completing it was stressful & the brain fog prevents me from thinking things through these days. I can't believe you can complete it online but can't email it back.

The work capability assessment forms are usually returned straight to the Health Assessmentr Advisory Service, at least mine always have. If you look at the pre-paid envelope, it will tell you where it's sent to, so it arrives quicker than it would if it was sent to DWP.If you want you can send it recorded delivery but i usually just get proof of posting.1

Remember its "signed for" now, not recorded, just so you pay for the right service. It isn't a tracked service, its a confirmation of delivery service. Proof of postage would be sufficient.0

If you really want Signed For, for delivery confirmation, then you can just pay the difference between the service printed on the prepaid envelope and SF. I think the prepaid envelope is 2nd class? (It's been about a year since I sent mine so I could be misremembering.) In which case it would be the difference between 2nd class and whichever Signed For service you choose. If you want to send it ordinary 1st class, again you'd only need to pay the difference between 1st and 2nd.0
