Company shares in VR situation

I have been offered voluntary redundancy by my company. I have approx £30K of company shares that will be made available if I leave - I can either transfer them to a broker or sell them. What are the capital gains rules on selling these shares in a redundancy situation? Is it the same CGT rules/allowances? I am not sure what the "profit" is on the shares (I would need to find these out from the company)

Depends on the scheme and how you accrued them.

What does “Will be made available if I leave” specifically mean?Does it mean you don’t currently own them or they are options? Are they an incentive to leave? Are they being offered as part of the redundancy package?1
