Hello CRANKY40 and LMD... good to hear from you and thanks for posting. My food delivery was meant to be with me between 3-5 on Friday but was a no-show 🤬. At 6 I phoned them, received an apology for them not contacting me to say there was a delay, and then shopping arrived just before 7. I was literally on my way out to get something for tea when it turned up. So quickly put it all away telling myself that I will do the shopping in store on Friday, but we'll see. All the cleaning was done so I'm pleased with that. I've also now had my second jab and I feel okay, better than with the first one. I'm in alone today, DD at work and husband out.
I went through the spending I've done over the past few weeks and am ashamed at the amount of trips to the supermarket. But I have reduced the amount paid on the sky package so have made a little saving 👍. I'm popping over to read other diaries in a mo to see how people are doing. Have a good day.1 -
Oh that’s really annoying about the order, but I guess there is always a chance something can go wrong on the roads and cause a delay. I’d probably continue but if it happens again switch supermarkets or store shop with a list.Even though you’ve had supermarket additional spends, the key is that you’re aware of them and it can be a focus to reduce these week on week. We have so many habits in our lives that we don’t even realise that sometimes we need to be a little kind to ourselves.Well done on reducing the Sky bill, we don’t have ‘Sky’ because the price just keeps creeping up and we use the streaming services instead. We have a Now TV subscription and we bundle buy the sports packages a few months in advance. Works out about £20 a month for the sports and every time it runs out we go to cancel and they do another deal
- could be worth looking at, depending on what your family watches?
Keep plodding on, you’ll soon get into the habit of questioning your purchases and make the cut backs that are right for you.

Hello LMD thanks for your post. I totally agree about the supermarket delivery and will get the shopping delivered again, no need for me to over-dramatise about such things 😃. About the sky package, I need to literally unpick the package and rebuild it to get the best price possible, something for me to look at.
DD took me and my sister out for lunch today then DD drove to Andover to find the driving theory test centre - test next week 🤞. We've not be back long, but a shower and cuppa is needed now.
I've had nearly two weeks off work, going back on Thursday... 😥 not looking forward to it but it's gotta be done.
Limping forward to pay day next Friday... can't come soon enough.

I’m already limping to pay day and I’ve another 2 weeks and 2 days 😂
it was nice of DD to treat you to lunch, I lost my mum a few years ago and miss doing things like that... in fact, with lockdown I’ve missed all of that entirely!
Lots of luck going back to work, be strong and try to rise above any nastiness, Karma will get her eventually, I believe it! Hopefully they’ll have sorted your transfer and you will be on to pastures new

I dropped out for a while there. Have been paying down the debt and was doing really well until one of those totally money emails dropped in the inbox saying I was eligible for another card. I applied, got it and have been paying it down monthly. So annoyed with myself but this is what I do, it's like an addiction. On the whole though debt still going down.
Job going well, very busy but enjoying it.
DD still working hard, she's out quite a bit so just me in this house. Not sure if I mentioned it before but I'm looking to downsize.
Trying to stay as motivated as I can on all fronts.
Hope you're all okay out there.0 -

My birthday today, been out for a meal and a walk around a national trust Tudor house and grounds. Totally fabulous, the sun was out and it was good to feel it on my face.
Thank you Benielou, that's exactly what I intend to do.
I am feeling fully refreshed.0 -
