Being made redundant very soon

Getting made redundant in Feb 21 I have a mortgage, was wandering what benefits I would be entitled too if any, I also have savings over 16000, hopefully I'll get another job by then but haven't had alot of luck as of yet, would appreciate any help on this matter, thanks in advance

Assuming that you have sufficient NI contributions for the years 2018-19 and 2019-20 (as the 'benefit years' used will have advanced from 2017-18 and 2018-19 by February next year) then you'll be entitled to New style JSA for six months - I think your savings will prevent you from being elegible for anything else.

You could the try entitledto calculator, it's a free tool and should give you some idea, I'm sure there is a box in there somewhere which accounts for savings. This is recommended benefits calculator on gov.uk website

With savings of more than £16,000 all they maybe entitled to is New style JSA which is £74.35 (over 25's) per week for 26 weeks.
