i wouldn’t want to be travelling as a family and have to pay these costs; ie 4 x £150 on top of holiday is a bit eye watering! That would be my spends ..€€ . Think I would go on my own lol0 -
Private tests for many other conditions are 10x higher or more - given the specialist work I think it's very reasonable.

I am flying with Tui in September (everything crossed) and they are offering discounted PCR tests through two chosen partners. Screen 4 for £70 and Randox for £84.0

I wouldn’t be against the fees doubling (as long as some form of regulation is introduced)
It might make the masses reconsider what are In effect unnecessary foreign trips (holidays)1 -
I'm (hopefully) flying with TUI in July, however it seems the discounted PCR tests offered by Screen4 and Randox are not the Day 2 and Day 8 tests needed by the UK government.0

Even the boss of Heathrow is flagging the issue Heathrow Airport: Home Office must 'get a grip' on border delays - BBC News
I'm sure there are plenty who 'need' their 2 weeks in the sun but you've got to question the benefit if you have to queue for hours on arrival/test (at market price) and quarantine0 -

know it.
The experience will be fraught with delays and compromises and that’s before you get to experience the whole range of restrictions at resort0
