I agree, but I can only go off what the bill says, I’ve been through the last years usage on my IHD and it would seem it’s been about 300 give or take units a month. So more likely to be around 3-3500 kWh annually0
-
So if everything ties in at around 3500 / 4000 kWh the query has to be the 1400 kWh figure which others are questioning - can you prove that ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
-
If your reading now is around 7000 and you use about 300 a month then I'd guess that your meter was fitted around the beginning of 2019 which ties in quite well with a reading of 1489 in May ( five months at 300) which means the May 2020 figure should have been around 5400.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Give us a copy of the bill please - blank out the personal info and account number.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
You'd have to agree that November 2018 is about 24-25 months ago therefore you'd expect a reading of about 7000-7500 by now which it is. You did not use 1400 kwh last year, nor did you use 4000kwh between May and October this year. If the bill for May that said the reading was 2940 was wrong - check whether there's an A, E, C or D next to it , it should have been nearer 5400.
(A= Actual, E=Estimate, C = Customer, D=Deemed)
The reason Robin keeps asking for a look at your bills is because there's probably summat wrong with the May 2020 one which you seem unable to grasp.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

This is the bill I received at the end of November, the charges are for 181 days, and total £722. Which goes against the usage I am showing on my IHD.Thanks for everyone’s help, just want to get a good idea of what could have happened.0 -
Your gas reading is estimated. And your annual electricity consumption is 0kWh. Aren't smart meters wonderful !And both those tariffs are absolutely extortionate. EDF have really taken you to the cleaners.181 days electricity, 12 days gas??0
