Discount for Hotel chains

Not sure if this has been asked before but i do a lot of travelling through the uk and need to book Friday and or Saturday in hotels. I prefer the larger hotel chains rarther than BB as you know what you are going to get when you get there. I probably book 30/40 nights a year for this and it works out expensive unless i can get offers from web sites. travel inn were very good with a family card that gave 20% discount but have stopped this since they merged with premier group. does any one know of any schemes or ways to reduce costs and maybe the codes for internet booking which will help. food and facility's are generally not a requirement.
