Rent charge query

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone could assist? I’m currently in the process of selling my property, which is due to complete on Tuesday. I was going to complete my sale and purchase together but that doesn’t look like it will happen. 
My lender had issued an offer for my new property allowing me to port my mortgage across, however, my conveyancer reported back to my lender incorrectly that the property has a rent charge over it from 1903. 
From queries by the estate agent to the vendors solicitors they have confirmed that the rent charge isn’t in relation to the property at all, as such my conveyancer has reported the wrong information to my lender. 
This has been back and forth with the lender for a month now, and my conveyancer has only just written to my lender to accept their mistake. 
What can, if anything, be done surrounding this mistake? It’s caused a big delay in the purchase and it’s still ongoing with my lender.

    Is it "a mistake"? Or something ambiguous which has since been clarified?

    I’ve got an erc of circa £12k on my current mortgage. I complete on Monday and my purchase has this one sticking point which is holding things up. If I complete within 90 days the erc gets refunded. If I don’t, then I’m stuck.

    From what I can see from the letter sent to my lender the conveyancer had originally stated the charge was on the property itself. They’ve now corrected themselves stating it isn’t on the property.. it’s a struggle to get a straight answer from the conveyancer as to what the status currently is. After repeated requests for a call back and emails I have very little communication with them.

    If it takes more than a further 3 months to get to completion then that means something else will have become a problem.
