Window panes delivered in wrong size should I have to pay for replacement?

All sorted.  We paid the first window company for the windows that were the right size, not for ones that were the wrong size.  

We chose a new window company to replace the wrong size windows.  The new window surveyor said it was his sole responsibility for the sizes and they weren’t even on the paper work we signed this time round.

Glad we instructed a new company as old company bodged things and wouldn’t have wanted to dig a deeper hole.

We went on a recommendation without doing our own checks. A simple check of google reviews / website check would have deterred us, they basically do bottom of the market social housing for councils which is not what we were looking for. A reminder not to rush things and take your time.
