    Is that the case when moving lenders too? Will they open a sub account at platform or other lenders? The only one I know of is HSBC that always insist on sub accounts even when moving to them..

    Also, is platform the only lender that seems to have better deals for existing customers rather than new customers?

    If you have two mortgage parts with bank A and you're remortgaging to bank B, you'll usually end up with one consolidated mortgage. I can't comment on Platform specifically as I haven't done such a remo recently.

    If you're comparing PT rates with remo rates, it can often be the case that the rates for the former are better.

    I can only say about TSB and remo for existing was better than new
