Hi can anyone give advice please as I am being taken to court over (no trace of payment) by the parking company although I have sent them my ticket explaining the machine only printed out the letters YY for my registration plate so I presumed it was faulty and wrote out my full reg on the ticket and left it on the dashboard in case a warden came. I stayed within the time limit and sent them a copy of the ticket but they are still saying they are taking me to small claims court. Can anyone advise as this has been going on since January and is stressing me out as I don’t want to incur court costs etc.

Have you read the NEWBIE sticky yet? Good place to start. Also there were threads last week about posters in the same position as you with only PP or Q printed on their ticket. Search the forum or these posts.3

Precisely at what stage are you at? Have you received a N1 claim form from the Northampton CCBC? If so, what is the Date of Issue shown on it?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Sounds just like the other cases with these faulty old machines that print out saying 'QQ' or similar.
