Can anyone access their Newday Arcadia group credit card app/browser? (Topman/Topshop etc)

With the Arcadia group now in administration - I can see that the Topman (Newday) credit card that I have is no longer available to apply for (totally understandable) - I can't imagine them taking new applications at the moment.

However as an existing Topman cardholder - I can't access the app or web browser portals tonight. It may be that it's a maintenance thing - but can't see any announcements anywhere.

I imagine that as a result of the administration we'll see these accounts frozen and closed in due course if the Arcadia group doesn't get itself back on its feet.

I also imagine the same problem might affect Debenhams Newday cardholders since they are also going the same way.

Can anyone that has one, get into their accounts?

Debenhams is ok. Just warns us about gift cards / points.

Already lost the TUI card this year. This is exactly the reason I have several cards. You never know when one may just close!

Mine works again this morning - must have been maintenance. I’m still expecting the account to close though - as behind the scenes there’s probably some profit sharing/fee paying contractual agreement which will no longer be valid / so new day will likely kill off the accounts as they did with TUI.

They've (NewDay) just sent out an email. Check your inbox!
  • Had an email from New Day about Debenhams and which said can continue using the card and access as normal for the time being. Had the same issue with  Flybe card from Creation, eventually the card was updated to a Creation card so I suspect New Day will do the same.

Haven't had one yet - will keep an eye though.

Happy to send you a copy. Doesn't really say much but I suspect it'll go like TUI. That's over £15k of lost available credit when that happens (for me)! TUI had a nice £8k limit and Debenhams is £7500.

NewDay are usually quite good. My Amazon card has a £13200 limit. Started at £4000 18 months ago! I bought around £8k from Amazon a few months back so appealed for a huge increase just beforehand (asked for £10k limit) and sent in bank statements. They gave me £13200! All paid off now - but got loads of points / Amazon vouchers.

Still haven't had one - but if it doesn't say a lot at this stage - it doesn't really matter. Mine is a relatively low limit as it was a recent card, but have two other Newday cards with higher limits. I imagine it won't happen, but would be nice to have the option of moving the limit off the card that closes onto one of the other cards.
