Hermes damaged my guitar

I've just sent a guitar to a buyer on Ebay and the buyer is saying one of the tuning forks has been damaged.
I did hear that music instruments are prohibited items so I wont get compensation. I took out cover of upto 100 pound however, does this mean I'll get compensation? Or am I screwed?
Thanks

If musical instruments are not covered then Hermes was a poor choice. How much will it cost to have the tuning fork fixed?

Yes poor but cheap. He only bought it for 50 pounds with 20 pound postage... I should of not bothered because sending guitars with couriers doesn't work.
My guess is the repair will cost atleast 40 but I'm not a guitar engineer

You won't receive any payout for sending an item that isn't covered.

OP - assuming you mean tuning peg rather than tuning fork, the buyer can easily replace it. A £10 set of 6 pegs will do the trick.

More of an issue is if the rough handling has damaged the neck.
