should I appeal this fine

"27 parked in special enforcement area adjacent to a footway, cycle track or verge lowered to meet the level of the carriageway"

Hello all has anyone been fined for this?

did you appeal

-I really feel they should have a no parking sign here to make it super clear
-yes near a stop line (which is half faded)
-yes possible walk way
-paralel to the lowered path there is a fence which looks like a gate looks like it was once a drive way
(Grey car is mine and where the fine was given)
Should I contest this? Or is this clear cut fine
Thoughts?

Thank you

We specialise in private parking charges on this forum. You would be better taking this over to our friends on pepipoo.com as they are the council parking experts.

You will need to sign up with a non-hotmail email address then read the FAQs before posting both sides of your redacted PCN.

That is in contravention if there is a similar dropped kerb on the opposite side of the road.  It's for people in wheelchairs, etc., to cross.  No sign needed.  Pay it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry but you deserve all you get for that, it is a tactile dropped kerb to help visually impaired and wheelchair users cross the road, you can see the one on the opposite side too.
Your excuse about signage won't wash either, highway code 243 applies.
