VCS COURT CLAIM

That's good and easy. Follow what the court instructs which includes your phone number.KC1974 said:I have now received a reply saying that the court case will be a telephone hearing!!! Not sure what to do??
Then, take your time writing a crib sheet so you don't forget anything. We can all suggest the points to make in your crib sheet2 -
I have now prepared my defence and witness statement in preparation for the telephone hearing. Can i still claim for expenses for my time researching and preparing for this case?0

You can normally claim loss of earnings/holiday (but you have to prove it with a wage slip) but now that most hearings are telephone or video, judges are refusing some claims for costs. £95 is still the maximum. If you can prove unreasonable behaviour by claimant you can still try for higher awards.2

If you can prove unreasonable behaviour by claimant you can still try for higher awards. But that's the difficulty @KC1974, hassle, intimidation, harassment, letters by the sackful, misleading information, aggressive phone calls and out and out lies sadly seem not to count! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

You are working on your witness statement plus exhibits plus summary costs assessment , to be submitted in accordance with the Court order2 -
Urgent help needed. So today I was due to have a court hearing via telephone for my case. I notified the courts that up to 3 days ago I have received no paperwork from the claimant , they advised me that they too had not received anything but this should be raised during the hearing. My defence had been received and logged. My case was at 2pm today but nobody has called. I have rung the courts at 2.15pm but apparently they shut at 2pm. I have notified them via email that I have received no telephone call and checked they have the right number sent via email. (it was correct) I have received another call so its not an issue with my mobile. I wanted to check if there was anything else I can do? I am actually staying at a friends for the next few weeks so if they write to me I will not receive the mail for at least 28 days. What is the procedure now0
