Guarantee rights

Hi I purchased a rogerblack gold exercise bike a from argos in August 2020 and it stoped working in novenber 2020 it has a fault (no resistances on flywheel) I phoned the help line and they sent a engineer to fix today 3/ 12/2020 but unfortunately he could not repair today he changed the motor on fly wheel but still didnt work he said he wasn't sure what was  causing the fault and said he would have to order about 4 parts and change each one to determine the fault but it might be a while before he can return due to covid and the time of year what are my options going forward

    Your options are
     - guarantee/warranty - abide by it's T&C.
     - pursue your consumer rights with the retailer.
     - contact your payment merchant/card provider and take action via S75 or chargeback (as appropriate)

    Who’s helpline did you phone?

    You have no guarantee “rights”, you simply have the T&Cs of whatever the guarantee says.

    Your rights are against Argos and you’d need to give them a chance to fix it (if they want) before enforcing any rights against them
  • Just an update the engineer called for the second time and changed all electrical part dealing with the fault when he left I cleaned down and tried problem had changed full resistance on fly wheel so unable to use phoned the help line an explained my options where a replacement but as they had stopped selling them a full refund so returned to store for a full refund thank you to all that took there time to read this post and answer happy as a pig in s**t happy christmas and a better new year to you all
