We don't know that the defendant has ever engaged with the forum. It's all too vague. At least the wins on this forum are genuine where the defendant (with help from the forum) has put in the effort.
The second post by the OP is a comment relating to the SJ case which was a strange case and has not given the PPC's an open cheque by any means. It just means that the case against the defendant has to be dismissed on other issues which in the case of VCS and Excel is not that difficult as we are seeing regularly on this forum.
Looking forward to Lamilad's report.

But by the time that happens, I wonder how many operators will still be in business after taking an 80%+ hit in revenues due to the lockdowns / tier restrictions.

PE have managed to issue many court claims for £175 , £100 plus legal and court costs , which are allowed and where double recovery and abuse of process do not apply , they do not artificially inflate a £100 to £160 or £170 like their smaller greedy rivals !!
If they didn't need a PAS , neither did the rest of you
Get your signage , your terms and conditions , your methods of payment , plus the correct company on the paperwork and you may have less issues to deal with.
The pigs in a trough with an unlimited supply of food has tInted the whole system , even going back to Martin Cutts 10 years ago !!
Remind me , why did Excel lose the contract for the Peel Centre in Stockport to Care Parking ?
Or why did Excel lose Ashton Retail Park to ECP ?
Why send out VCS paperwork when signs are Excel ? And Vice Versa !! Identity crisis ?
Why is the signage and markings so poor at your recent court loss on that auctioneers car park last week ?
If bylaws allow an emergency stop at RHA in Doncaster , why issue a parking PCN when no parking incident occurred ? As in your loss there last week , bearing in mind your companies cannot issue Penalty notices
No PAS was needed for any of those , incompetence comes to mind , overbearing harsh rules , imposing charges overnight and on Sundays for no reason , limiting KFC and Nandos parking to 15 minutes even though they were far away from the access road which was included in the timing on site , not giving the correct grace periods as stipulated in landowner contracts like at Ashton RP , etc etc
Why use subterfuge notices like privacy notices , myparkingcharge notices etc and flaunt POFA ? An 8 years old law
Stick to POFA and issue compliant notices to drivers and to keepers , follow the law yourself , as your CILEX oaths expect you to do , others seem to manage it , like ECP and Initial Parking !!12 -
