I bought a refurbished mobile from Argos online recently but didn't like the camera so wanted to send it back. I was told that because I had used the phone to test the camera they couldn't accept it because they would be unable to sell it on. I don't understand this as it's already a refurbished phone so not brand new. The outer cardboard wrap was opened but again this is not the original packaging as it's a refurbished phone. Box undamaged and screen sticker still on. They told me I should know if I like the camera from the specifications on the website. But I'm not sure how you can tell if you like the camera by the specifications without trying it. Also it's not like any shops are open at the moment for me to try out the phone in store. Does anyone have any advice on this? Can I take it further?

Consumer Rights board may have more knowledge as well as this one .

I would ask them to confirm what aspect of you having used the phone makes it impossible to resell, then post back here for advice. As far as I can see you have consumer rights that Argos are not acknowledging. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0
