in Credit cards
I bought some furniture from Ikea. The ones i saw in the showroom was really nice.
When we got it home, it looked nothing like the ones in store.
The draws are all wonky, the patterns on the doors don't match (It's almost as if they came from different batches)
This is not buyers remorse, I love the furniture, but can't cope with all 8 draws being out of line, and the doors patterns not matching.
Due to Corona Virus, Ikea has basically disconnected their customer service.
There is no email, the phone line cuts you off after hearing a recorded message and the online assistant won't work either.
(They say that they'll refund anything returned unopened, and with all the packing, but first there's no way of know how bad it is until it's put together, and we had no way to store all of the packing)
I feel at a loss. I bought it online, paid £50 delivery (I live about 1hr 15min from nearest store) (paid for it all with CC)
Can I claim from my Credit Card company?

As long as it cost over £100 then you can hold the CC company equally liable and raise a S75 claim.
Note that there is actually no obligation to go to IKEA first even if their customer service was operating. It is your choice who to go after, although of course most people go to the store first for obvious reasons.1 -
