How to play: Every day from the 1st until 24th of December, you can answer a new question in our advent calendar below. Don’t worry. The questions aren’t too hard, but they’re tricky enough to make it fun!

For each question you answer correctly you'll get one chance of winning a cruise to the Galapágos (see below for details) on board one of our ships. To start, just click on today's door below (for example on door 1 for December 1st). Best of luck!

- The winner may select any dates available on our website for their cruise in 2021, except cruises during Christmas and New Year.

- The prize is for one passenger.

- Prize does not include: travel to/from Galápagos Islands; accommodation, other than your stay on board; crew gratuities; alcoholic and bottled beverages; National Park entry fees and other applicable charges; travel insurance.

- Ship and Route are to be announced during the game

Most foreign tourists over the age of 12 pay $100, while children pay $50. Visitors from the Andean Community and Mercosur nations over the age of 12 pay $50, and children pay $25. Ecuadorian nationals over the age of 12 pay $6, and children pay $3.

Why do the female Hammerheads swim closer to the middle of the school?
The largest, physically fit, more fecund females force the smaller ones out of the center of the school, into which males dash to find a mate. It's a form of intra-sexual selection that ensures that males pair with the biggest and baddest females—namely, those that are going to have the most young.

How many logged dives do you need at least to dive in Galapagos?

25 logged dives

In order to partake in any sort of SCUBA diving tour or package in the Galapagos, visitors will need to have a PADI Certification (minimum Open Water Diver license) and a total of at least 25 logged dives.

Everything I can find says 20-25,000, so I would say go for 30,000, but I don't know if that would be right.
