Forums are places where people express their opinions and debate ideas. There not places where people burst in and start issuing orders.

There are discussion forums for that. These forums are mostly for facts, not opinions. You were talking about capital gains tax, it’s not something you have an opinion on and you debate the pros and cons. It’s tax. It either is applicable or it’s not. There isn’t a grey area and you were wrong, and corrected. You can’t debate facts. 

No one burst in and issued orders. Get down the pub (depending on your tier!) and debate to your hearts content.

It also appears at the top of every thread.

As far as I'm aware it's the same on every board.

I've not read your other posts but I agree with Katrina about posting incorrect information.

Whoever does so should be prepared to be corrected.

And accept it gracefully.

The forum rules clearly spell out the information MalMonroe gives in the final paragraph of his/her post.

That notice also appears inside every thread, at least once per page - I wonder how much longer it's going to be sitting there for?
