Covid 19 - Wages

Hi all, not sure if this is the correct place to post this but hopefully can get some advice.
My step daughter tested positive for Covid on 19th November, which meant two households had to self isolate for 14 days as per NHS website.
Luckily I can work from home but my partner (pharmacy worker) and stepson (retail) were both told they would be on SSP, unless they were contacted by track and trace. Now it says on the positive result email you 'may' be contacted but we weren't. Therefore they have lost out on about £600 combined at a time they could really do with it. There is no way to contact test and trace so it seems pot luck whether they get in touch.
To top it off on the 26th my stepdaughter received an email to say there had been a lab error and the result was false. My partner called the number on the email (NHS) and was told they had not heard of such an email and to treat as positive. A massive f up all round as we found out via the news a few days later that around 1300 people had in fact been given a false positive.
Is there anyway for us to get this money back, or is it a case of take it on the chin. Thanks

It would be unheard of for there to be any recourse in respect of false positive tests. They are part of any testing system.0

Thanks sorry if it came across that I was looking for recourse for the false test, I'm not and understand mistakes do happen. It's the fact that it appears the test and trace contact is pot luck. So some lose out and others don't purely on whether you are contacted.0

Why did 2 households have to self isolate?
It's only if you live with someone who tests positive/shows symptoms that you should isolate.
If you've just met someone who tests positive you only need to isolate if track and trace contact you.

Presumably the two households formed a bubble, one person living alone the other three together?
In which it's correct for both households to isolate.2 -
I could do with some help and advice, I run a Ltd company (I am the only employee) but I provide PA support and run the private medical practice for 4 Consultants. Obviously this in the healthcare sector however I have taken a huge hit on the amount of income earned since March and there has been no help what so ever available to me by the government. I am easily about £12000 out of pocket since March and this is now impacting my business significantly. I take a regular monthly salary and then the rest of my income is made up of dividend payments each month, I have tried to apply for help via the HMRC but each time I have been told I am ineligible which I find absolutely ridiculous especially as I work in the healthcare sector. At times since March private hospitals have been closed due to Covid which obviously had a major impact on the amount of patients being seen. Can anyone provide any help or advice on what I can do?0

Did you ever look into the possibility of a bounce back loan?
