I owe HSBC money and they sent me a cheque out of the blue 7-10 years later for 50 pounds WTH?

I got a cheque back from Halifax CC once after an aduit found they had collected too much or collected it in a wrong matter or something. I was getting all excited until I found out it was only for £1.08 and that included interest!0

I deposited my cheque yesterday. I also went along to the local HSBC branch and git it confirmed as worried it was a scam. Found out I had an ISA open I didn’t remember.0
