Hiya
Just wondering if anyone could help.
Just wondering if anyone could help.
The solicitors that are doing our conveyancing firm is registered with the SRA. Our contact however isn’t registered with the SRA and they don’t show up a registered conveyancer when the search the CLC.
is this likely to be a problem or are we protected by the firm being an SRA approved one?
how can I confirm that our deposit will be held under the usual rules of client monies (without just asking ofc)

Not everyone doing case handling are solicitors or licenced conveyancers. Some are paralegals, some are CILEx or working towards full qualifications and working under a qualified solicitor or conveyancer.
As the firm are registered that's all you need to be concerned with.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Could be an articled clerk learning on the job. He'll be overseen by a fully qualified practitioner.

most of the conveyancing work is not done by a qualified solicitor but junior staff. the solicitor oversees the work and gets involved where it is needed. this is how they keep costs down as there is not a huge margin of profit in conveyancing.0
