Should I stay or should I go?

I've had my flat up for sale since January. I've had two offers one which the buyer dropped out after a month and another which dropped one week before exchange. I've found the whole process unbelievably stressful, I'm hopeless in stressful situations to begin with and now I'm thinking of taking my property off the market and staying put. I've had a noisy neighbour who is now spending more time away and is hardly there at all so I'm starting to fall back in love with my flat, that was the main reason for moving. I'm not sure whether this is the reason I want to stay or is it because I just can't handle the stress?
I've had a further 4 viewings and when the EA called to say the viewings were not successful I was relived.
Also if I sold my flat I would have to move back in with my mother while I look for another place and that is causing some tension, although she says it's fine!
Don't know what is the best thing to do, should I take my flat off the market temporarily while I decide? (Had a stress dream last night I was homeless)!!!! Help!

It sounds like you don't really want to move at the moment. Why not say you'll take it off the market, give it 6 months and see how you feel then? if you still want to move after that time, you know what to expect of the process.

I think you should just listen to your feelings at this stage and do whatever seems right. You're in a good position at the moment to make this decision without anyone else feeling disappointed or let down.0

Just to say as well, if you take it back off the market for now, don't let the estate agent make you feel bad. Been there, had that conversation!0

If you want to sell it drop the price, if you don`t just stay in it and enjoy it.0

UPDATE had another offer just as I took it off the market. I've didn't accept the offer. Have I done the right thing when I don't know what I really want?0

I think only you can make that decision. It has to be the right choice for you.MeJane said:UPDATE had another offer just as I took it off the market. I've didn't accept the offer. Have I done the right thing when I don't know what I really want?0 -
When the noisy neighbour starts being at home more again you will probably regret not accepting the offer.MeJane said:UPDATE had another offer just as I took it off the market. I've didn't accept the offer. Have I done the right thing when I don't know what I really want?0 -
This - the noisy neighbour may well be staying elsewhere due to lockdown but will return and start annoying you again when things ease up. If they're really noisy it will put people off who view the flat (unless you can ensure they only view when the neighbours are out) and whatever you do don't make any complaints!!moneysavinghero said:

I think I would have accepted the offer, if it was at a good price. Don’t move in with your mother though, look for a rental where you can then take your time for your onward purchase, this will give you time to think about what you really want and also mean you don’t have to suffer if the noisy neighbour returns.0
